Dr. Robert Bledsoe, the organizer of this amazing annual event, is still looking for “buyers” at this year’s Salon of 1889, as noted in the table below. If you can help as a “buyer”, please sign up using the doodle poll.

• Bring a friend or two or three or more. The more, the merrier.
• You can also bring your classes.
• Dr. Bledsoe can provide a visitor parking pass if needed.

This year (1889) the salon will, as usual, be organized by the members of the Société des Artistes Français. However, since the salon will take place at the same time as the World Exposition—with that monstrosity the Eifel Tower—this year’s salon will be held at the Grand Palais on the 3rd floor of University Hall.

Because of the Exposition, there are also likely to be independent gallery shows, some group shows and perhaps even shows by individual artists. We are looking for a crowd to attend the event and some special people to take on the role of a buyer.

If you have time and are willing to take on the role of a buyer, please let us know.  We have eight roles we would like to fill, and we can create more. We will send you a role sheet and additional information.

If you can’t commit to taking on a role, we still invite you to stop by the event for a while to meet our artists, dealers and critics. Among others figures of note, you are likely to encounter:
