Start using Box today!

  • Do you carry multiple USB drives to store your data and to access it from various locations?
  • Are you running out of space on your Novell MyFiles drive?
  • Do you email multiple copies of documents back and forth with colleagues to work on presentations or research together?

If you answered yes to any of the questions, then Augusta University Box is the solution for you!

Box is now available for all Augusta University current faculty, staff, and students.

Box will be replacing the existing Novell MyFiles (traditionally used by the Health Science campus) and Spots (traditionally used by the Summerville campus) directories for all personal file storage needs.  We encourage all faculty and staff to move your files from Novell MyFiles and/or Spots by May 20, 2016.  Note: Box does not replace the www folder in Spots for faculty websites.

Here are some of the new features available with Box:

  • Unlimited storage space
  • Web & mobile access from iOS, Android, & Windows devices
  • Share files with anyone, inside or outside of the organization
  • Eliminate large email attachments by sending links to securely view or download files
  • Approved for PHI, HIPAA, or FERPA data *see the IT Box website for data storage guidelines
  • Create collaboration spaces to work on group or project efforts together
  • Always have access to the latest version of your files from anywhere in the world with an internet connection

Visit the Information Technology Box website to learn how to access Box, watch video tutorials, find answers to questions, and learn more about the transition from Novell & Spots to Box.
