The March 2016 continuous delivery release for D2L brought a few additions and improvements. No major impact to teaching other than the ability you now have to download (in CSV file format) a log of all quiz attempts made by learners on a quiz, for offline analysis.
What I am excited about is the possibility that D2L just opened up to allow for dynamic and adaptive learning paths. That functionality is not yet here, but the foundation is in place for this future development.
