Also known as online education, eLearning refers to a learning experience that is exclusively online.
Online courses are typically asynchronous (in terms of Coldeway’s quadrants, this is the DT-DP type of distance learning). Live meetings (whether face-to-face or online) are typically used for orientations, capstone events, and proctored exams.
eLearning quality can be measured by the:
- Quality Matters (QM) rubric
- Chico rubric
- OLC pillars
- OLC quality scorecard.
