Also known as traditional education, face-to-face (F2F) education takes places in a physical classroom where an instructor and learners meet. The entire course takes place F2F, and everyone is in the same class at the same time (in terms of Coldeway’s quadrants, this type of learning is a mix of ST-SP).
Typical F2F courses offer instruction in class and homework. Flipped instruction offers instruction before class and the class time is spent on course activities and learner interaction.
Technology (other than projectors, document cameras, and such) is generally not used.
