The application of Title IX legislation has become important tool in addressing sexual misconduct on our nation’s college campuses. While the law prohibits sex discrimination, including sexual assault in education programs and activities, a recent study commissioned by the federal government reports that every year one in five women and one in sixteen men are sexually assaulted in college.
